It was time for me to get on a plane and fly home after spending a summer in Milan for modeling. I had an amazing time full of traveling (day trips to Switzerland for a standing show), fashion (backstage at Prada) and, of course, enjoying myself (I can’t lie about the amazing parties).
But being home, spending time with my family and friends, is nothing less than fantastic. Oh and finally doing nothing all day for a while, I enjoyed to the fullest! Even though relaxing is a must sometimes, after a few days of doing nothing the workaholic in me takes over again. So I was more than happy when I was invited for the casting of Africa Fashion Week. Unfortunately, I missed the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week since I was in Italy, so now I was being given the opportunity to enjoy the feeling of a Fashion Week casting.
The casting was from 10:30AM to 6:00PM. Naturally, I was a little scared that it would be super crowded. Luckily there were only a few girls in the office when we came in, so the wait wasn’t that long. All the girls had to be measured first and then we posed for some Polaroids. Finally Aydin Acik looked at your photos and your walk on the catwalk with a catwalk coach. They were both really nice which calmed my nerves a little. It was a very positive experience to have such a nice casting back at home! For now fingers crossed!
