“Can I cut these” became a regular phrase of mine as a child, I was always begging my mum to let me customise old clothes however this creative flare was never really anything more than a hobby, I had originally planned to study journalism and politics at university, it wasn’t until I was eighteen, I realised that I wanted to study Fashion, however coming from Ireland, it’s not exactly a mecca of all things fashion.
After taking a course in Fashion and clothing at college, I decided to leave the shores of the emerald isle behind and head to London to study ‘fashion and textile design’ at University. It was here that my passion really started to grow, as I was opened to a wealth of cultures and inspiration. After undertaking internships and attending London and Paris Fashion Weeks with a designer, it was then I realised, I wanted to work more in styling and communication.
After my studies in London, I decided to go to Italy to live, in order to learn Italian and take on new experiences, It has been a challenge leaving the comfort I created in London behind however I don’t look back for a second, during my studies here in Italy in Fashion Styling and communication, I decided to start my blog to write about my experiences abroad and the things I love, be it fashion, beauty or travel, which is where my passion for writing developed, which brings me to modelboard.
